Home Sweet Home. And naturally...

02 FEB 2006

Home Sweet Home. And naturally it's raining.

But that's alright. God we missed San Francisco. There's working public transit here pedestrians and far far less name-dropping. Los Angeles was quite successful however and the blog was surprisingly enjoyable so I think I'll keep it going when we start the mixing process in earnest. Right now I need to concentrate on not falling asleep into my keyboard.

An honest to God news segment will get posted soon tomorrow with tour dates of note album release dates and various other little excitements. For now let me just say thanks to all who came our to the free Mezzanine show last night. Serene Lakes (this time with keyboards!) sounded as good as I can remember and the Ex-Boyfriends were fucking great as well. Y'all should buy the Ex-Boyfriends CD when it comes out too which is in a couple weeks. Then you can wander around singing "wah-ooo" over and over until the smelly dude on the bus looks at you like you're crazier than he is. Try it. It's fun. Thanks of course to Ted at BAGeL who's always been amazing to us.

So I'm going to stop this egregious love-fest right now. But all is well with the world. I've got a big fat hung-over smile on my face. You should see it.

You know what? I updated the blog anywa

Good Wednesday one and all....

08 FEB 2006

Good Wednesday one and all. Thanks for stopping by. If you wouldn't mind wiping your feet on the mat there...yeah. Thanks. The carpet in here is getting rather dirty.

So I've got two small items of worth for you today. One: phenomenal show upcoming this weekend in Oakland. We're playing with four---count 'em---four really good bands on the other side of the bridge on Saturday. It's our last show this month (for now at least) so come out if you can.

Two: The blog. I'm back to daily updating mode. So if you enjoyed it last month stop on in. If you never read it give it a try. It's kind of like a well-cooked mushroom...actually I don't think it's anything like a well-cooked mushroom.

Changes will soon be abounding. Stay tuned.

Friends nobles countrymen....

13 FEB 2006

Friends nobles countrymen. We're done. Done for shows for February at least. Of course you never know what might come up but we're all clear for right now. Saturday night? Fantastic. Damn near epic. Dear Static Brilliant Red Lights Poor Bailey Street to Nowhere: we salute you. Thanks for the invite. We even got some Everett & Jones which still lives in my belly like the brick of beef brisket it was.

This week I continue my business-daily updates of the the blog as the album release moves closer each day. We also will hopefully have a solidified noise pop date and maybe some interesting articles to share so check back. For now just make it through the week. And happy Valentine's day. I love you too.

Oooh! I'm editting this note to relive the glory that was Peter's surprise birthday party. Never have I seen a man surprised enough that he has a small seizure. Not until Friday I hadn't. Happy birthda

Two posts in two days? Yes...

14 FEB 2006

Two posts in two days? Yes indeed. I'm having a love affair with the internet.

I just wanted to let everyone know that Agent Records will be releasing our EP on vinyl for all you folks that like that sort of thing. Plus it'll look waaaay cooler on my wall.

Also like a broken record (that's a terrible pun I know) I must invite you back to the blog which has been updated with ferocity.

Welcome back one and all....

23 FEB 2006

Welcome back one and all. I've been pretty lax on the news lately because the blog stole me away. It's like the News's smarter sexier roommate. I'm sorry darling but I was blinded by the blog's...cleavage. Any way see the results of this morally repugnant daliance here.

To bring everyone up to speed basically we're knee-deep in the mixing process without a van and all gearing up for our eventual financial downfalls. But all is well despite the few snags we've encountered. The LP is sounding great (which if you go to blog you can pre-order---hint hint) and the coming demise of my day to day employment makes me smile like a lunatic. Soon the news will be flowing again with---god forbid---actual news. For that thoug
