Good morning one and all. It's nice to see you. Or not really see you since I'm at my computer under flourescent lighting but well it's nice to have you here.

We wanted to let you know that tomorrow night Friday the 6th is our final show before we sequester ourselves in tiny sound-proofed rooms to record a long-overdue full-length album later this month. And we're doing it at the glorious Bottom of the Hill. We even have a poster to prove it. For some reason we aren't hosting this image ourselves but you know while you're there check out Gorilla vs. Bear. It's chock full of swell music and love for all things birdmonster and really: what more could you want?

Well. That was fun. And by that I mean Friday night. So to all of your who braved the elements & the always interesting journey to Potrero hill we salute you.

Moving on moving on. This will be the last substantial news for a few weeks but fear not. In a desperate attempt to join the present Birdmonster will be starting one of them new-fangled "blogs." And this ain't your grandma's blog. No sirree. This one will be about our exploits in LoCal chock full of pictures & news from the two or three weeks we'll be recording down there. I'll put the link up there when we actually arrive which figures to be Thursday night. We'll be back Febraury first to play with Serene Lakes & the Ex-Boyfriends at the BAGeL radio 3rd anniversary/CAHMS shindig which I know sounds acronym-filled & confusing but you really only need to know a couple things about it: 1) 3 wonderful bands 2) ...for free and 3) there will be cupcakes. This news will be up for quite some time so enjoy it. To sum up we're going to be in LA till the end of January recording our full-length sleeping late and even playing a show on the 30th. In honor of said momentous events we took the opportunity to dive into blogland (which I neglect to call the "blogosphere" for fear of giving David a life-threatening seizure). The blog (which needs a better title. I'm open to suggestions) is located here. We'll be updating with ferocity. Stay tuned.
